We’ve talked for two hours, his heart rate was going 150 bpm and he’d call us the next day to tell us he wanted to sign up and he already knew five people to join his business. It sounds too good to be true and so it was. It’s been two weeks and we haven’t spoken to him ever since. For some reason people are finding it hard to disappoint us. Personally I’d have the decency to explain why I changed my mind but for others just giving you the silent treatment is a better solution.
I’m really wondering why people are so enthusiastic and when they leave something happens and they change their minds. Of course me and my brother discussed this. First we were like we shouldn’t let people leave without signing up but then we realized that we were forcing people to sign up that way. It would be like, ‘hey how are you doing, I have something for you’. When they walk into your door they will never leave without being signed to something they maybe never wanted. It’s frustrating that people are interested and then all of the sudden they change their mind but it is their decision.
What’s going wrong here? How can we prevent that people go from positive to negative so fast, even before trying to earn money with the network marketing business opportunity. A better question would be, what changes their mind? There is something to network marketing that people are finding scary. To be honest I was skeptical in the beginning as well. I thought it sounded great but I also thought it was too good to be true. When I took a closer look at some network marketing companies and also read some testimonials and some stories of well know network marketers I started to believe the power of a MLM business opportunity.
Unfortunately we didn’t hear/learn why our friends changed their minds so we have to find the answer to that question elsewhere. Just like I did some research about MLM and about different network marketing companies I’ll do some research for reasons why people quit MLM. I’ll be writing about my conclusions in the next post.

5 Common Characteristics of Entrepreneurs

Vision
The 'spark' or idea that sets a person in motion is typically something that is fueled by passion or in the least a personal interest! This 'vision' is usually unique in some way and is supported by the strong belief or faith that it can indeed become reality! Thus it is the passion of most successful entrepreneurs that keeps their dreams alive! Their vision also serves as the 'target' that keeps them on track allowing them to effectively plan the required course of actions needed to achieve their goals!
Self Confident
Being successful at anything requires having a certain degree of confidence in yourself and your choices! As any entrepreneur will tell you, this confidence is critical primarily because most of the time you'll be working alone and making decisions based upon your own research and judgment!
Resilient
All small business owners are familiar with the fact that setbacks and mistakes are inevitable! The most important thing here is not the mistakes or setbacks you may encounter but rather how you react to them! Truly successful entrepreneurs view their setbacks as learning experiences and not as something that will discourage them from pursuing their goals! The attitude that the more mistakes you make the more you learn encourages people to bounce back and continue moving forward! Without this continued effort, success, in most cases will never be experienced!
Motivated
The willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' and do what it takes is rare in most people! This is especially true when working alone without the support or encouragement of others as the typical entrepreneur finds themselves doing! Remember however that it is the 'vision' as previously mentioned that sets people into motion towards making it a reality and that this vision is fueled by passion! Being passionate is a tremendous source of motivation and can easily sustain a persons drive even without the support of others!
Adaptable
Quite often change is required due to consumer demand, marketing strategies that are no longer effective and overall market conditions! In fact change is about the only thing small business owners can count on therefore their ability to adapt is vital! Without this adaptability you might as well give up your quest but in this area, once again, most successful entrepreneurs tend to excel!
There are certain characteristics of entrepreneurs that are most helpful in their being successful as small business owners! The good news here is that successful entrepreneurs are typically not born with particular attributes or talents but rather developed them along the way and so can you! For the most part the most prominent characteristics people need to succeed as small business owners are the 5 discussed here today! Life is however not only about hard work. They say "work hard and play even harder", and that's exactly what the staff members did on April 29th, 2012. The Green World Management Team organized a spring trip to Badaling Great Wall and Badaling Wildlife Park in Beijng, in order to enrich the lives of the staff. Nearly 100 personnel actively signed up and spent a fruitful day engaging in activities.
Badaling Great Wall of China
Badaling Great Wall was the first stop of the spring trip. Although I was mentally prepared for the hustle and bustle awaiting us, I was still shocked when we arrived at the place and saw huge crowds of people coming and going. But none of us were at all bothered by the crowds and proceeded straight ahead without rest. We climbed up to the top of “Hero Slope”. After a morning’s climbing-up, everyone was all wet with sweat and others out of breath.At 'Hero Slope' of our climb, I was able to look into the distance while enjoying the crisp fresh air. Below my feet, The Great Wall of China looked just like a huge dragon, wriggling up and down, circling round and round. Such an amazing sight.
While overlooking the magnificent towering Great Wall which witnessed countless vicissitudes, a kind of lofty sentiment spontaneously arose in my heart . Almost like a moment of clarity my views and thoughts suddenly became more vivid and more clear.
That moment was somewhat short lived as we needed to make our way back down. The stairs down were so steep that we had to support each other by hand. Not sure which was better though, the journey up or the one down.
Badaling Wildlife Park
Here in the park, following the tour route, we were blended into the world of animals. Scattered among hills and wildernesses where quite a few Romanesque animal ferity recovery fields in which tigers, lions and wolves preyed. Another eye-opener was me seeing a few rare white tigers walking in the luxuriant woods. Each scenic spot caused cells of happiness to sparkle. Everybody laughed a hearty laugh while roaming around the park, deeply immersed in the embrace of nature, and enjoying the easiness and pleasure brought by this trip. Our unified Green World T-shirts also formed a beautiful scene.One day’s cheerful journey was a success and when we unwillingly said goodbye to each other. I urge all Green World staff members and Green World Distributors to stay happy, keep a moved feeling in their hearts, pass confidence on to others and stay true to their dreams. With the successful holding of this spring trip, inter-colleague relationships was greatly cemented, and a sense of responsibility and cohesion has further emerged.
We all expressed the hope that we would continue to climb up the mountain of career and forge ahead bravely in future work. With this conviction in heart, we are bound to unite all the more and get fully equipped for a new voyage. This spring trip fully unfolds the glamour of Green World’s Corporate Culture.

Green World Senior Distributor Conference in Congo-Brazzaville
Getting Together, Raising Morale; Planning Jointly; Growing Together...
On April 18, 2012, Green World Congo-Brazzaville Branch Senior Distributor Conference was successfully held. Deng Yongjun, manager of Green World Congo -Brazzaville Branch, and seventeen senior distributors got together and carried out an in-depth discussion on affairs of Congo-Brazzaville Branch.
“Getting Together, Raising Morale; Planning Jointly; Growing Together”. With a clear theme and rich content, this conference got a great response among the distributors.
At the beginning of the conference, every distributor present gave a short speech about their status, problems they experienced, suggestions, etc.
In an active atmosphere, all distributors spoke enthusiastically as they introduced their multi-level marketing development status. They discussed the current market conditions of Green World Congo-Brazzaville Branch, existing problems, education and training, and their views and suggestions about the branch office’s future development, etc.
Manager Deng Yongjun listened to the distributors’ speeches carefully, took a detailed note on every distributor’s speech, and then summarized their speeches. .
Manager Deng Yongjun affirmed the speeches and highlighted how necessary it is for a leader to know the current condition and market clearly. The distributor’s had a common theme that came across during their speeches – all the distributors had paid attention to the market conditions and education and training. This gave a positive signal to the branch office of who Green World Congo-Brazzaville’s leaders are.
Manager Deng made a concluding statement and answered the problems raised by distributors in detail. Problems raised should be solved.

Based on the problems raised by distributors which were in contrast with the business strategy and future development direction of the branch, Manager Deng answered all the questions concerning four themes: Green World Company, Green World Products, Network Marketing Education, and service.
Firstly, the branch management is devoted to developing Green World Congo-Brazzaville into the leader of direct selling industry in Congo-Brazzaville, regardless of its current image and strength which will vastly improve over time. As a large transnational company, Green World's Corporate image is of vital importance. In accordance with the vision, the branch has designede an overall renovation and make-over plan on its external image. Distributors and future clients would see a brand new Green World Congo-Brazzaville branch in the near future.
Secondly, according to the sales of Green World Products and customer feedback, the branch has ordered a new batch of products from Green World Headquarters. This order includes Green World Products that are high in demand and also a multiple range of new products to the Congo-Brazzaville market. This strategic move is to ensure the purchase demand of distributors is met with a supply of Green World’s Health Supplements and Products.
Thirdly, education and training plays an important role in the direct selling and sales industry. A direct sales culture, training on the products, business plan, and motivation system cannot be regarded as in-depth training and are a long way from teaching distributors to build huge income generating organisations. The distributors acknowledged the importance of education and training and all expressed that they would actively participate in the training offered by the branch and organise network marketing training with staff member of this branch.
Furthermore, the branch would further train present lecturers and select some new lecturers to form an excellent lecturer and training team of Green World Congo-Brazzaville. Discussion of forming an assessment system to reward excellent lecturers also took place. With enough manpower and a dedicated team, in the near future the branch will be able to hold large-scale training conferences and seminars at regular intervals.
